Earlier, Nami’s super attack, called ”Clima-Tact”, transforms into Zeus. Captain Kid continues to clash with Big Mom. Captain Kid recalls when he makes a temporary alliance during the battle and discovers the pacifist will fight with him. Meanwhile, Law realizes traveling around Luffy for so many years made him believe that Luffy will beat Kaido. Yamato calls out Kaido’s name. Kaido got furious and told Yamato to address him as a father. Yamato said she is here to destroy the chains that bind her with Kaido. Big Mom and Captain Kid continue exchanging blows. Meanwhile, Sanji squares off with Queen in a fierce. Queen almost smashed Chopper. Finally, Chopper helps Zoro to recover his using medical skills. In the present day, Yamato is worried that Luffy is not around, and she has to keep on fighting and protecting Momonosuke until Luffy appears for a rematch. One Piece Chapter 1016 Highlights
The chapter begins with the CPo revealing the changes of sides between the Pleasures and the Waiters. They also show that Kaido has 20,000 members fighting against 7,000 warriors from the samurai crew. Meanwhile, Nami and Ulti got involved in a fierce battle. During the struggle, Ulti survived an attack from Nami, but Zeus interferes and directs the blow to hit Ulti. After that, Zeus controls all of Nami’s attacks that miss Ulti, and they keep on chasing Ulti. Finally, Zeus helps Nami to smash Ulti. Ulti tried everything to win the battle, but it backfires when Nami and Zeus team up and defeats Ulti. Usopp manages to grab Bao Huang, who announced that Kaido had defeated Luffy. Usopp uses Midori Boshi: Devil Green Star: Devil to restrain Bao Huang. He orders Tama to send the message to the entire island for the Marys. Bao Huang’s face is unrevealed after Ussop captured her.
Haki Clash
The samurai got impressed by the Straw Hats member changing the tides to their advantage. Zeus told Nami to give him a name she likes. Nami reveals that Zeus’s new name is ”Wata”, which means cotton, but Zeus thinks it is weird and said he would use his old name, Zeus. Tama talk about the battle with the entire island reveals how the Straw Hats are gaining momentum, and the struggle is still 50/50 even though Kaido’s men are more than the samurai crew. The reasons why Kaido arrived at Wanokuni will come out soon. Meanwhile, a battle between a father and daughter continues with Kaido claiming Yomato to call him father. During the war, Yamato realizes that she can’t defeat Kaido, but she will fight until the Captain of Straw Hats returns. Finally, Kaido and Yamato are on top of the roof and exchange words and powerful blows. Kaido transforms into his monstrous form while climbing the rooftop and uses his hybrid form. Yamato told Kaido that when they earn their victory, she will sail to sea with Luffy. But before that, they will make sure that Kaido gets kicked out of Wanokuni. Kaido gets furious and told Yamato that he wouldn’t hold back and it will be like he is fighting a version of himself. Yamato told Kaido that Luffy is on his way she will survive until Luffy returns.
